 ... a pink key holder...
 ... a pinkish one...
...this is my cat Kira watching over...
 ...a matching pink mobile holder...
 ...and the pinkish one...
...this is a small mascara purse for my sister...
 ...she likes owls...
...the purse with a mathing mobile holder...

Happy New Red Monkey Year!

Hi, there.

Wish you all  a happy Red Monkey year. However, I cannot help remembering history... 1956 was the year Russia occupied entered Hungary. And not only. It was a year of fear and one of fierce activity for the - also - red monkey, who keeps returning every 60 years.

But hey, my parents got married in 1956! So, it wasn't such a bad year after all, no?

To win the graces of this years monkey, I made myself a mascot. It's name is Scrappi, because... oh well, it is made of red and reddish scraps. I like how it turned out and really hope it will bring joy.

I showed it to my aunt and she said "oh, you have to make one for my great grand daughter, too!". And my own mother, last night, when we had a small Chinese New Year party at her home, said with much good humor "oh, you made this for me, huh?". You see, she also is born "a monkey", albeit a water one.

I hope you will enjoy seeing my little mascot. I found the pattern on the Google images, and I hope the owner of the pattern will not be angry with me for using it.

Have a nice day!

Last day of the winter holiday

I would like to present our latest family member. It is a 6 months old puppy, Vackor.
My eldest son found him in August 2015.
He was so scared to be alone, he used to grab our hands with his teeth and never let go.

He is such a goof now !

I would like to sew more this year than in 2015. Maybe not every day and just small stuff, like this table runner I managed to make from beginning to end in just one day (jan.8). It is for my sister, she likes orange.

...and in detail:

Take care and have a nice week-end!

Charity sale

Hi, there.

Back in December we had a small charity sale with objects made by the pupils and their teachers. The money was donated to help children who need surgery in foreign states. My heart goes with those children and with their parents, too. No child should suffer.

The Santa wishing well cards are made by my husband. He is part of the "Petals in the wind" charity project, like me and my school.

These are bookmarks made by the 9th graders.

The origami trees are also my husband's work.

Above it is the project label, "Petals in the wind".

Crocheted rugs, made by the 9th and the 10th graders.

Tree ornaments.

These kitted and crocheted animals were bought almost all of them.

More ornaments.

And yes, these are my mobile covers. They didn't last long. In fact, they disappeared within ten minutes after the opening of the sale.

Sorry for the low image quality. These are carolers from another school, with their music teacher.

And finally, a better look on my mobile phone covers. Click on the image to see them bigger.

Have a nice day!

2015 in images

Hi there.

Continuing to remember 2015.

I made this jewels holder for my sister, back in August, for her birthday.

And the key holder is also for her. She wanted an owl. She got one.

These mobile holders were made for a charity event, in December. I must say, after ten minutes they were all sold.

But enough!
This is my cat, Kira, today, wishing me a happy new year ... in his own way.

And last, but not least, this is my very first quilt made this year, from start to finish. I made it for my aunt, for her birthday, in January 1st. She was delighted.

Have a nice day!
